To maintain high-quality, trustworthy, and useful business profiles on GPSListings.com, all businesses and users must follow the guidelines below.

Our goals are to:

  • Support legitimate local businesses
  • Reduce spam, fake listings, and misleading content

GPSListings.com is primarily designed for businesses with a physical presence or businesses that provide services within a local area.

Creating a High-Quality Business Profile

To create a successful business profile:

  1. Represent your business accurately.
  2. Use real and verifiable business information.
  3. Avoid misleading or spam content.
  4. Follow our local business listing standards.

Eligible Businesses

Local Businesses with Physical Locations

Businesses with customer-facing locations are eligible, including:

  • stores,
  • restaurants,
  • salons,
  • offices,
  • workshops,
  • showrooms,
  • warehouses with staff,
  • manufacturers,
  • local service providers.

Service Area Businesses (SAB)

Businesses that provide services at customer locations are also supported.

Examples include:

To qualify, businesses must:

  • or PO Box addresses,

however, GPSListings.com reserves the right to request additional verification of business legitimacy and operational presence.

Multi-Location Businesses & Franchises

Businesses with multiple locations may create separate profiles for each physical location.

Each location should have:

  • its own address,
  • phone number,
  • and location-specific information.

Ineligible Businesses

The following business types are generally not eligible for local business profiles:

  • online-only businesses without local presence,
  • anonymous digital projects,
  • affiliate websites,
  • fake or misleading businesses,
  • spam lead-generation pages,
  • businesses using unverifiable identities or misleading information.

Business Name Guidelines

Your business name must reflect your real-world business identity and should match:

  • your website,
  • signage,
  • business documents,
  • and other official branding.

Business names must NOT include:

  • keywords,
  • marketing slogans,
  • promotional text,
  • phone numbers,
  • website URLs,
  • opening hours,
  • service descriptions,
  • location stuffing,
  • ALL CAPS formatting,
  • emojis or decorative symbols.

Address Guidelines

Your address should reflect a real and verifiable business location.

The address must:

  • unverifiable locations,
  • misleading suite numbers,
  • non-existent locations,
  • irrelevant text in address fields.

Phone Number Guidelines

  • be active and reachable,
  • match your website and public business information.

We recommend using:

  • local phone numbers,
  • direct business contact numbers.

Avoid:

  • misleading call tracking numbers as the main number,
  • disconnected phone numbers,
  • third-party contact numbers.

Website Guidelines

The website provided must represent the actual business listed on the profile and contain accurate business information about the company, services, or local operations.

Websites should not be used for misleading redirects, affiliate marketing, spam, or fake lead-generation purposes.

The following are not allowed:

  • spam or redirect domains,
  • broken websites,
  • misleading landing pages,
  • social media links used as the primary website,
  • tracking or cloaked URLs.

Business Description Guidelines

Your business description should be:

  • clear,
  • informative,
  • natural,
  • customer-focused,
  • grammatically correct.

Recommended length:

  • minimum 200 characters,
  • maximum 1000 characters.

Include useful information such as:

  • services offered,
